Urban Explorer

Good afternoon my beauties, I hope you are having a good beginning of the week. I’m doing okay,…not really. I have a quiz due tomorrow, an art project due today, then the second half of the same art project due Thursday! An essay due Friday, and on top of that a lab quiz due Monday. It’s going to be a hectic week for me.

Let’s talk about something fun though. Here are some places that I’ve explored in Texas, can’t wait to explore more places! The following are great restaurants and activities.

Canyon Lake, Texas

Has great walking trails, military and public access for a fee (meaning only military members or those with an active/retired/dependent card can access certain parts of the lake that the public can’t), and also has boat/jet ski/cabin rentals.

  1. IMG_1563IMG_1568IMG_1559IMG_1564IMG_1586

Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch & Natural Bridge Cavern

It’s an almost 2-in-1 activity, but you have to pay for both if you want or just go to one of the two. The Ranch is an drive-thru zoo. Once you pay you get one bag of food per car. They do have military discount, yay! I usually get two bags especially since I go with my two friends. (Side-note: There is a fee for everyone in the car.) Once you pay, you can go through the park as many times as you want. They do offer a restaurant, toy store, and petting zoo of goats. The Cavern is a series of underground cave systems, that you can explore through guided tours. They also offer a rock and crystal store, a mining package (you keep what you find), a zip-line jungle gym, and a very awesome fudge and candy store. You just have to pay for everything you do.IMG_1342IMG_1341IMG_1333IMG_1324IMG_1322IMG_1302IMG_0278

Thursday, I’ll talk about some every good restaurants! Love them! Well I hope you all enjoyed this mini-blog. If you every stop by Texas, and happen to be in the area of these 3 places go check them out! You might just have some fun! As always, live free, stay safe! Please like if you enjoyed and don’t forget to follow me. If you have any request or questions, just ask! Don’t be afraid to leave a comment. See you all Thursday!

All things FENTY!!

Good afternoon my beauties, it’s been a good sickly almost 2 weeks for me! I’ve catching up on school work and sleep, since being sick! Ugh! Being sick is such a pain in college, really!

So let’s talk about one of my favourite makeup lines, FENTY! I’ve slowly been geting into make for the last 6 months and I’ve fell in love with all things makeup! My umma would tell you I’ve spent and been given way too much makeup then I know what to do with! I have 5 drawers and half my homework desk filled with makeup and skincare products. Its slowly taking over my room, lol!

As for FENTY it’s one of the brands I almost have the complete collections of! Lets talk about what I have!

I have 3 out of the 5 brushes, I don’t think I would need all 4 brushes. So I got her 110 Foundation Brush, the 120 Highlight Brush, and the Eyeshadow Brush.Image 5

Next I have the Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Rimer and Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in Shades 410 & 420, because I can wear both shades.

Image 4

Next I have the Shimmer Skinsticks in Ridiic, Chili Mango, Trippin, Yacht Lyfe, and Sinamon. For Matte Skinsticks I have Latte, Suede, and Espresso.

IMG_1617

Let’s highlight some more please! I want it to be blinding! I have only 1 Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter. You all should already know which one it is actually!!!….You guessed right it’s Trophy Wife! BAA~BYY, this is to the gods!!!!

Image 3

Then we go into the Holiday collection for the rest of the face!

IMG_1594

Starting with the eyes! Is the Galaxy Eyeshadow Palette.

As you can tell, I’ve been playing around with the palette already! The next items are the Eclipse 2-in-1 Glitter Release Eyeliners. I got 2 out of the 3 liners, because I didn’t like how Later, Crater looked on me. Loved Nepturnt and Alien Bae though!

IMG_1625

Lips though!!! Right now I only have 3 out of the 4 Cosmic Glosses in Astro-Naughty, Gal On The Moon, and Plutonic Relationship. I forgot to pick up Spacesuit, but I ordered yesterday, thank goodness it wasn’t sold out! It should arrive Thursday or Friday, yay! Along with Fenty’s original Fenty Glow Gloss Bomb.

IMG_1642

More lips please! I have all Starlit Hyper-Glitz Lipsticks in Supernova, Sci-Fly, Gravity, and Supermoon! I can not get enough out of Gravity! Love it!

19C1410F-3A4D-4C20-8F8E-CABEC91D9E84

The last product I have is for my Oily skin! The Invisimatte Blotting Powder came through for my oil control!

Image

Got to say I love FENTY and what it does for my skin! I know everyone has differences of opinions when it comes to this makeup line, but I can say I recommend all this for my family and friends to try out! If you have dry skin, highly recommend you don’t go for the foundation, but at least give the lips products a good try!!

On some great news for people in Dallas, BEWHY is having his The Blind Star concert here on Nov. 3rd! I’m going and I can’t wait to turn up and have fun! Tickets went on sale on the 11th, so you might still be able to get at least P3!

See you all Thursday! Stay safe, live free! Have any questions or request, just ask!

Facetory

Good afternoon my beauties, I hope you are having a good day. I don’t know what happened yesterday, but my post never uploaded. I got it all fixed now so this shouldn’t happen again, I hope!

So anyway, today we are going to talk about the great FACETORY subscription. They are a monthly subscription box of sheet masks that have a theme every month. There are two plans you can choose from:

Four-ever Fresh, which includes four sheet masks. If your not a big sheet mask person, I suggest this box. You can put one on ever week. This box is $5.95 plus $2.95 for shipping. This box tends to have fabric masks, like cotton.

Seven Lux, which includes seven sheet masks. (That’s my plan) This box is $15.95 plus $3.95 for hipping. This box has higher quality ingredients with its masks. Tends to have more hydrogel masks.

You can also cancel your subscription at anytime. I’ll show you what I got for the month of September, which was Gold themed!IMG_1424

This is September’s box, isn’t it really cute! Love it! This box included:

A card talking about the masks that are in the box. I usually go in the order that is provide.

IMG_1531IMG_1532

Then comes the masks!

IMG_1530

I just keep them in my fridge until I need them. I never want them to get dried out, then I just wasted my money. Since I use a mask everyday I never have to think of them expiring. My problem is ordering more so I don’t run out. (I always think, you can never have too many sheet masks.)

So I was thinking Sunday I should show you all my regimen products. I actually have two sets, sometimes I put some products of one set in my other regimen. I incorporate Korean and Canadian products in one set and all Korean in my other. Can’t wait to show you all!

Have any questions or request please ask. Don’t be afraid to leave a comment. I loved to hear from you all. I do hope you all try Facetory out. Let me know if you like them as much as I do! Don’t forget to tap that like & follow button on your way out! Please and thank you! Lol!

Be safe, live free! Have a great weekend! Mine is going to be slightly busy with finishing my photography project, lab, history & journalism quiz. Plus going to the Fair with friends again and I having to party with my cousin for his 21st! So a real busy weekend!! Enjoy yours!

Korean Skincare Regimen – SPF

Good afternoon my beauties, its been a long week for me. Sorry about not posting last Thursday and Sunday. I was really trying to study and finish my art project. I hope you are having a great day. So lets talk about the last step in the regimen.

SPF or Sunscreen

Everyone needs to have sunscreen no matter the colour of your skin. You don’t want to have skin cancer later on in life. No here is the kicker!

Most of the Korean SPF doesn’t have darker shades of BB Creams or any tinted creams that help with skincare. What I use is NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30. You’d just have to find a BB Cream that fits your skin tone.

For sunscreen I actually use:

Missha Waterproof Sun Milk SPF 50  – Totally can wear underneath make up and doesn’t lift or separate.

My Skin Mentor Dr. G Brighten Up Sun Sunscreen – Only thing about this one is when I put it on it comes out to have a peach undertone.

I totally know this is short but its still sweet. I’ve tried others but these two I know work with me wearing makeup as well. Next Thursday I’ll be talking about one of my recent favourite subscription that is very affordable for everyone.

Be safe and live free! Love you all! We are actually done with the Korean 10-Step Regimen.

The Korean Skincare Regimen – Moisturizer

Good afternoon my beauties, I’m actually writing this two hours before I have to go to my art class, because my Monday was so hectic, with my extra credit project and panel. So it was a very late night. Then I was looking and I noticed that there was a very important step that wasn’t on my list. I have no idea who I skipped it. At least I caught it before it was to late.

Lets talk about moisturizing since there isn’t a recap, because we never talked about it before.

Moisturizing is important because it locks in all of the products that you’ve put on your face & keeps your skin looking healthy by being hydrated. Now for my oily skin type people there are moisturizers that are lightweight so it doesn’t increase your shininess. There are many types of moisturizers from mists, creams, & oils. Choosing one just depends on your skin type. If you have oily skin you don’t want to end your night regimen on a oil, so try a mist. Dry skin it might work best for you to have a cream. Combo & Normal skin you could use one of the three, just depend on what you feel your face needs for the AM and PM regimen. You also could use two different moisturizers for your regimen, a hydrating cream or mist in the AM and a oil or cream, which could be called a sleeping mask in the PM.

Product time starting with:

Mists

Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence – Hydrates & nourishes. (This os actually one I use for through out the day, I live in a city that is very hot our cool days would be anywhere btw 88 to 90 degrees in the.) IMG_1383

Missha Near Skin Simple Therapy Mist Toner – Mild toner, clams & soothes irritated or sensitive skin. This could be used as a toner or a face mist. Works best for Sensitive skin.

Cremorlab Mineral Water Mist – Nourishes & hydrates.

Aprilskin Magic Snow Mist – Brightens, hydrates, & anti-wrinkle.

Creams

Missha Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Cream – Lightweight, hydrates, firms, & helps repair acne-prone skin. (Smell is kind of so-so, which means it’s strong smelling, it works but I couldn’t get passed the smell so I stopped using it.)

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Emulsion – Hydrates & firms.

Corsx Oil-Free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion – Clams, hydrates, & repairs acne-prone skin. This is great for Sensitive & Acne-prone skin.

Missha Super Aqua Ultra Water-Full Clear Cream – Hydrates & controls sebum. (This is what I currently use now. This is a cream but its more like a gel. It makes my skin so soft.)

IMG_1381

Aromatica Rose Absolute Vital Cream – Hydrates, brightens, & anti-aging

Oil

Re:p Nutrinature Ultra Moist Gel Oil – lightweight, clams, hydrates, & aging.

I know that last one was a short list, but that’s because that’s the only Korean skincare product thats worked for my skin. Right now the face oil I use is from an Canadian company called Deciem, but you all might know them as The Ordinary.

That’s it for today. Thursday is our last step, which is SPF. I hope you have a great day and rest of the week. Try one of the products out and tell me what you think about it. If you enjoyed this, please like and follow me to hear more. Live free, stay safe! See you next time. If you have any questions, comments, or request don’t hesitate to write.

K – Beauty Fact Sunday

Good morning my beauties, I hope this week wasn’t stressful for you all as it was for me. I had 2 essays, 4 quizzes, and 2 lab projects that I needed to complete, which I did! Yay! I’ve been really anxious, because I with my sister that could go with out buying makeup for 3 weeks……and it’s almost time! The 29th is the day and I’m impatiently waiting for it to come. She promised if I won, which I am, she would come with me to makeup and skincare shop and be my blank canvas for my makeup looks. I might have you all join us on this anticipated journey. Especially, since we going grocery and game shopping as well. Whoop! Whoop!

So for those of us who aren’t in Korea or know people in Korea who can get them skincare, we are somewhat limited on Korean products. I don’t high risk sites like Ebay or Amazon unless I’m purchasing from the actually company. I wouldn’t suggest getting your skincare from places you’d have to bid on it just to have it. There are some really great counterfeit products that do more harm then good.

I know skincare can be expensive, but there sites that are TRUSTED Korean product sites. One of my favourites is Soko Glam. They have a lot of products and even give you a bundle deal for a 5 & 10-step skincare regimen.

The following picture is one of their 5-step bundles. Know I know what your thinking its $115 for just 5 items what is the cost of a 10-step bundle. We’ll get to that later.  This bundle is the Acne & Sebum Control Set. Everything is full sized comes with:

  1. Banila Co Clean It Zero Purity
  2. Skinfood Tea Tree Bubble Cleansing Foam
  3. Neogen Real Flower Cleansing Water Calendula
  4. Missha First Treatment Essence Mist
  5. Missha Water-Full Clear Cream

$115.00

5-Step Acne + Sebum Control Set

This set is good for beginners or people who get overwhelmed with the amount of different products. It makes it simple, they give you the products. You just try them out and see if they work for you problem.

Now their 10-step is more in-depth and has more products. Pictured below is the 10-step regimen for Oily Skin, called 10-Step Korean Skin Care Routine Set (Oily Skin Type).

$199.00

10-Step Korean Skin Care Routine Set (Oily Skin Type)

It comes with the following:

1. BANILA CO. Clean It Zero Purity (oil-based cleanser)
2. NEOGEN Green Tea Real Fresh Foaming Cleanser (water-based cleanser)
3. GOODAL Deep Clean Pore Glacial Clay (pore mask)
4. MANEFIT Beauty Planner Mugwort Sheet Mask (one sheet mask for single-use)
5. BENTON Snail Bee High Content Skin (toner)
6. ENATURE Birch Juice Hydro Essence Skin  (essence)
7. KLAIRS Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Serum (serum)
8. MISSHA Misa Cho Bo Yang Eye Cream (eye cream)
9. BENTON Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel (moisturizer)
10. MY SKIN MENTOR DR. G Brightening Up Sun SPF 42 (sun screen)

The only bad thing about the bundle is that only give you one sheet mask, so that means you have to buy 28-30 sheet masks for everyday single use. If you decided to use a sheet mask everyday, besides the actually treatment masks that comes with the bundles. (Some bundles don’t come with a clay or bubble masks, so it just better to also get a bundle of sheet masks.) As I’ve said before, you aren’t supposed to use a treatment mask every day. It’s normally recommend to uses it 1x week or sensitive and 2x week for tougher skin. But I always use a sheet mask everyday, no matter what. I keep them all in a container in my fridge. When I use my sheet and treatment masks, I usually do sheet mask in the morning before class and treatment mask at night. Otherwise, I just sheet mask at night.

The greatest thing, I think, on this sire is their variety of sheet masks.  They have a sheet mask challenge set. That gives you seven different sheet mask for everyday. Every month they give you a new set of different masks.

7-Day Sheet Mask Challenge Set

7-Day Sheet Mask Challenge Set

$25.00

I do this change once a month because it helps my skin and I love trying new masks out.
They also have a lot of products to customize your on 5 or 10-step regimen. All you have to do is start with the first step, which is oil cleansing. Filter the products for your skin type, then filter some more, if you can, for your skin concerns. They will then produce a list of oil cleansers that fit your criteria. Sometimes they don’t have products that are for both skin type and concern. So it’s just best to go with your skin type products.
The CEO of the Soko Glam, Charlotte Cho is the author of one of my trusted skincare books called, The Little Book of Skincare,Or can be found at Barnes & Nobles.
It’s a great read if you love reading about skincare, lol!
Well I hope you enjoyed this post, if you did please like. Go check out Soko Glam, if you have a chance. See you all, Tuesday for next step in the Korean Regimen. If you’d like a notification whenever I post, just follow me. Have an questions or request! Ask and I shall answer. Stay safe, live free and I hope you all have a great up coming week!

The Korean Skincare Regimen – Eye Cream/Mask

Good afternoon my beauties, I hope this week has been good to you all. My life is a little hectic, mainly because of school projects and tests that I’m having to do. Well, that’s the life of a college student. So today is about the next part of the regimen, which is the eye creams/mask.

RECAP: You always want to have an eye cream/mask for day and night. (I usually do my cream in the morning, then my eye masks at night, because I also put on a sleeping mask.)

Lets talk about why you would need an eye cream/mask in your regimen anyway. The eye step in your regimen is the step that is a long term care step. This step helps you not have eye wrinkles or crows feet as you age. So think of it as an anti-aging step. Eye cream/mask also help with the dark circles under your eye.

For this section it’s going to be a little different with the types and what they can be used for.

Manefit Beauty Planner Lily Brightening Eye Mask – Brightens under eyes & de-puffs swollen eyes. Masks.

Goodal Moisture Barrier Eye Cream – Brightens under eye, retains moisture, & anti- wrinkle. Cream.

Shiseido White Lucent Anti-Dark Circles Eye Cream – Great for hyper-pigmentation & hydrating. Cream.

Bio-Performance Glow Revival Eye Treatment – Brightens under eye, anti-wrinkle, & de-puffs eyes. Cream.

Erborian Ginseng Infusion Total Eye – Anti-wrinkle & brightens dark circles. Cream.

Saturday Skin Wide Awake Brightening Eye Cream – Firms & brightens. Cream.

I know this is a little short mainly because it there isn’t a lot of eye creams/masks that I’ve tried that actually did anything for my under eyes. I only give you recommendations on products that I’ve tried, and that worked for me. Again some products you won’t get to work for you others take awhile to see improvements. I usually wait 2 months for the effects of an eye product to kick in. With some products from this list I saw improvements instantly, others was an over time improvement.

I hope this helped you out. I hope you all are willing to try out some of these products. Next Tuesday is moisturizes. As I always say, follow me if you’d like to hear more from me. If you enjoyed this post, please like. Stay safe, live free! See you all on Sunday for our next Fact Sunday. Any questions or request, don’t be hesitant to ask.

The Korean Skincare Regimen – Masks

Afternoon my beauties, I was working on an art project but I started to lose focus. What better way to help me get back into the groove, than to talk about the next step in the regimen. Plus I’m feeling really good because I turned in my first essay yesterday and I think I did pretty good on it, or at least I’m hoping so. Lol!

Today we are going to talk about my favourite step…Masks! I love using masks, mainly because there are so many different types, they all have different benefits, & you can wear them everyday if you wanted to. Let’s jump right into it.

RECAP: There is 6 types of skincare masks. Clay, Peel-off, Warm Oil, Thermal, Cream, & Natural. All masks tend to have different benefits for your use.

Now you can diffidently use masks everyday. I recommend using sheet masks, which is a type of peel-off mask, for the your everyday mask.

As I’ve said before there are probably hundreds if not thousands of masks out there in the world. How would you choose the a mask for skincare regimen? It’s really based off your skin concern. From there you would just play around with the types of masks that cater to your skin concern. For example, if I was trying to brighten my skin and tighten my pores. I would use a type of Clay mask, I’ve been using the Sky & Sand clay mask for about 2 months now and I can tell that it works for those concerns. But if I was trying to brighten my skin and soothe irritation, I would use my bubble masks or cream masks. So lets get into products. I’ll base all products on types of concerns I had for my skin, since some concerns check my box.

Dryness

Aprilskin Honey & Red Ginseng Mask – Moisturizes, hydrates, & soothes irritated skin –Sheet Mask.

Skinfood Hydro Fitting Snail Masks Sheet – Firms, hydrates & moisturizes – Sheet Mask.

Manefit Bling Bling Hydrogel Mask – Energizing Rose – Hydrates, soothes, & nourishes skin – Sheet Mask.

Sensitive

Acne/Oily

Aprilskin Mummy Mud Mask – Nourishes, firms, tightens pores, brightens, & decreases sebum – Sheet Mask.

Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask – Decreases sebum production, brightens skin, minimizes & cleanses pores – Clay Mask. (For people with sensitive skin you should rinse mask off 3 minutes once foam starts forming.)

Manefit Natural Gift Green Tea Pore Care Sheet Mask – Reduces inflammation & soothes skin – Sheet Mask.

Skinfood Black Sugar Strawberry Mask Wash Off – Cleanses, hydrates, & smoothes skin – Natural Mask.

Hyperpigmentation

Manefit Bling Bling Hydrogel Mask – Whitening Platinum – Hydrates, really brightens, reduces pigmentation – Sheet Mask.

RE:P Bio Fresh Mask With Real Vitality Herb – Smoothes, hydrates, moisturizes, brightens, & cleanses – Clay Mask.

Skinfood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off – Cleanses, hydrates,  moisturizes, & brightens – Natural Mask.

Hope this helped you out on choosing a mask. There are so many out there to try and I’m always trying more and more mask to see if what they claim to due actually happens. If you have any recommendations let me know, and I try them out, if I haven’t already. This is just a small list of all the masks I’ve tried that actually works for me. I you all want more recommendations let me know and I’ll do a part 2 of this in the future.

As I always say, if you enjoyed this post please like. Follow me on Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Sundays for skincare and more. Stay safe, live free! Hope to see you all next Thursday because we’re talking about eye creams/mask. Wow…We are almost done with this section. I can hardly believe it. If you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask. Same goes with any request you’d like me to talk about! See you all soon!

K – Beauty Fact Sunday

Good afternoon my beauties, I hope you all are having a great day! I decided today we’d talk about the Aprilskin company…well their skincare products, I should say.

A little background information, it became an cosmetic brand in October of 2014. And ever since they have been a well known brand in the Korean skincare community. All because of their first ever skincare product.

The Magic Stone Signature Soap. One way to describe this soap, it’s very similar to the Natural Black Bar Soap you’d see in like a Target or Wal-Mart. I feel that this soap is just the Korean version of it. They came out with two version of this soap.

The Signature Soap Original and The Signature Soap Black.

While they do almost the same thing, they have slightly different benefits. For me they both moisturize, exfoliate, cleanse, & soothe. The differences would be the Original is a better deep cleanser & great pore cleanser. So if your wearing a full face, this soap is a good makeup remover or just a great nighttime cleanser. This also works very well for people with sensitive skin. While the Black soap is better at removing impurities, has better soothing effects, is slightly more gentle than the Original. A great morning cleanser. With them both being a $15 product, I’d just get both and see how they work with your skin.

The next product is what I use right now as my follow up oil cleanser. Its the Magic All-Kill-Cleansing Oil. It’s like putting massage oil on for face. I’t’s not irritating on the skin & doesn’t leave an oily residue. It removes makeup very well & once I rinse it off my skin feels quite soft. For $24 it’s a nice beginner product. As I’ve said in one of my pervious Fact Sunday, when I try new products that react bad with my skin. I use my fall back products to get my skin under control again & this is one of them.

Moving right along, is the Grapefruit Deo Tissue. I don’t know what it is with grapefruit, but it always makes my skin feel alive & oh so refreshed. I love using the grapefruit makeup wipes & I love freshening up with these tissues. Living in a place that really only has two seasons, these are awesome. Walking from one end of campus to the other for class obviously I get sweaty, especially with the sun beaming down. I just whip one of these bad boys out, pat myself down, and feel so refreshed.

Grapefruit

My last favourite item is their Mummy Mud Mask. This mask removes sebum & impurities from your skin & pores. It obviously tightens your skin, because the mud dries. It’s a great nourishing & brightening mask as well! They also have a great deal with 5 masks in 1 box for $25. I usually keep all my mask in my refrigerator.   127_shop3_889772

Now it’s time to show off my bluetooth LED vanity mirror! Love this baby! All I need is one more huge mirror and my beauty wall shall be complete! But for now this will do! Its a LED bluetooth 360 mirror, called the Touch Pro.

I’ll do an to be continued on them later. I hope you’ll try one or all of the products that I mentioned. If you want to jump ahead and check them out yourself. Hope you enjoyed, if you did please like. Follow me, I post Tuesday, Thursday, & Sunday. If you have any questions or request, please don’t hesitant to ask. Stay safe, live free! See you all next time.

Well that’s it for steps 5 & 6. Next Tuesday will be my absolute favourite…..MASKS! I love masks! There are so many types of masks that sometimes it gets overwhelming, then I think, “Nope, mask…everyday.” I really this helped you all out with choosing a product for your regimen. There is SO many out there that sometimes it’s hard to choose which ones, but I think it’s all about routing and trying new products every once in awhile.

Fun K-Beauty Fact Sunday

Hi my beauties! I hope its been an fruitful day for you all. I’ve been busy thinking about what beauty tip to talk about today. As I was cleaning out all my makeup and skincare drawers, while reordering some more products. It can to me in the trash bin. Yes, I said the trash bin. I know this tip isn’t specifically a Korean beauty tip. I thought this is a great beauty tip for everyone to know. So lets talk about some major reasons why you’d throw away skincare products.

For myself, it took awhile for me to really commit to this step. That’s the price I pay for purchasing new skincare products every month, some products just don’t work for you. That’s just the gist of it. I know…you spent $50-129 on this one product, but it’s showing no improvements or insignificant improvements even after a month of use. Just throw it away. I will say my over $100 primer works so well. Just love it! Wonder if you all can guess my primer? Lol!

The next reason would be if your skin is getting real irritated or reacting bad to the product after a few uses. It might be because there are harmful ingredients in the product that you’re using or you’re allergic to one of the ingredients in the product. Just to be on the safe side throw it away. Remember just because it works for your friend doesn’t mean it will work for you.

Next reason is basic. The product you have expired. I diffidently would never use an product past its expiration date. Think about it, would you drink milk that expired a week ago, I hope not. I never buy in bulk unless I know, I’m going to be using that product everyday and sometimes more then once a day. Those products are usually my go to products. I reorder new products, when I see it comes in a small container. Mainly, because I know it’s not going to last me the full month. Or I’m almost done with the product in its only been maybe two weeks.

Last reason for me, would be if your product starts to look or smell funny. Sometimes products already come like that. But I mean, if it looks vastly different then when you opened it. Examples would be if you can see the product separating or there is small clumps in it that weren’t there before. Always read how to properly store you products, because this could be the effect of a not properly stored product.

I hope this helped you out just a little. Next Sunday is a toss up between talking about Aprilskin products, Deciem products, or sheet masks. Guess you’ll find out which one next Sunday. As always stay safe and live free! If you enjoyed this, please like. To hear more from me, please follow my blog. Questions or request, just ask. Tuesday is the next step in Korean skincare regimens, which is toners.

The Korean Skincare Regimen – Exfoliators

Afternoon my beauties! It’s Thursday, which means one more day of classes. Downside is I have an art project to finish, two quizzes due on Friday, and an draft essay to work on. But I love blogging especially about skincare. Once I finish this regimen I will go into other skincare products that I’ve used international & national products. I’ve been planning this for three years. So I’ve tried a lot of products. Some worked, but had after effects. I’m getting ahead of myself! So lets get into the third step of our regimen.

RECAP: Exfoliators clean clogged pores, gets rid of dead skin cells & brightens skins. As I said before it’s not recommended for everyday use. People with Sensitive skin should only use once a week. People with tougher skin should use at least three times a week.

Exfoliators help dry skin, smoothes rough or uneven textured skin, & firms skin. Some exfoliators recommend you to use them after a toner for best results. That’s why these two steps can be interchangeable. If I’m feeling like my skin is in need of an boost after a rough week. I use a toner before exfoliating. Otherwise I exfoliate then tone.

You also want to remember that you aren’t going to be using this step everyday. What I suggest doing is trying one way for an month, then changing the step the next month to see what best helps your skin. The reason why you would try any skincare regimen or product is best said by a dermatologist. Dr. Kenneth Beer , is an Palm Beach, FL doctor who has an Board certification in dermatology and dermatopathology, which is the microscopic study of the skin. He’s one of the handful of doctors to have both certifications.  Dr. Beer states that, The complete benefit of skin creams won’t be visible until after a full cycle of skin-cell turnover to take place, at least a month.” Which means you probably won’t see any instant changes the first couple of rest as your skin gets used to the regimen or product. There are always some cases where you could see results the next day or that week. It just depends on your skin.

Lets get into products!

Dry/Normal or Sensitive Skin

Mizon:

Apple Smoothie Peeling Gel: Brightens skin, tightens pores, minimizes acne, & smoothes textured skin. This product could be used by all skin types.

Seaweed Jelly Scrub: Moisturizes skin, minimizes pores, acne breakouts, & redness. Ideal for Sensitive or Acne prone skin.

Be The Skin Non – Stimulus Face Polisher: Smoothes & nourishes skin. This is ideal for sensitive skin, but can also be used for dry skin.

My Skin Mentor Dr. G Brightening Peeling Gel: Brightens, smoothes, hydrates, & soothes irritated skin. Ideal for sensitive skin.

Combination Skin

Mizon Honey Black Sugar Scrub: Anti-black/whiteheads, tightens pores, brightens hyper-pigmentation, & smoothes textured skin.

Morihata Binchotan Facial Puff: Brightens skin, cleans clogged pores, & anti-blackheads. Could be used for sensitive skin.

RE:P Bio Fresh Mask With Real Nutrition Herb:  Brightens, firms, smoothes, hydrates & soothes irritated skin.

Neogen Bio – Peel Gauze Peeling Lemon: Cleans clogged pores, brightens & smoothes textured skin.

Oily/Acne Prone Skin

My Skin Mentor Dr. G Crystal Deep Peeling: Smoothes, brightens & moisturizes skin.

Tony Moly Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm: Anti-blackheads, cleans clogged pores, moisturizes, & smoothes skin.

Skinfood Rice Brightening Scrub Foam: Cleans clogged pores, brightens, & smoothes skin.

Hope this helped you in the realm of exfoliators. Mask, as we talk about then later on, could be used as an exfoliator. The reason I didn’t put any mask in here, is because I want to specifically use them in the mask portion of this regimen. Especially since you could use both an exfoliator and a mask, as one or two separate steps.

As I always say, be safe and live free! If you want hear more from me. Please follow my blog. Next Tuesday is Toners. If you have any questions or request please ask. See you all hopefully for, Fun K-Beauty Fact Sunday.

Foam cleansers are the second step in what is called the “Double Cleansing”. Which basically means your begin to cleanse with an oil cleanser then end with an water based cleanser. These two steps help clear breakouts & create a blank canvas for your makeup.

Fun K-Beauty Fact Sunday

Welcome back my beauties, to our 2nd Fun K-Beauty Fact Sunday. I hope everything is going well for everybody. I just finished my first full week of college and I can say that its going to be a long year. Enough about the dreaded college student life, lets get into some skincare.

So I’ve been hooked on this product line for a while. Whenever a skincare product reacts horrible on my skin. This is my go to for getting my skin back to an blank slate. My blank slate means just my face being healthy and no acne. After I using it for about 3 weeks, I then try another new skincare product. I know this product works well and clears up my face. It has never failed me.

If you haven’t heard of MEDICUBE or MEDICUBE RED then you most be new to Korean skincare. I absolutely love their line of products. I wish they had a store in the states, ugh! (Sad face) Ordering them online is the way to go! I first heard about them from a site call EarlyPicker. I thought “what the heck might as well try this bundle out”. Korean skincare regimen – Oil Cleaners

RECAP: Oil cleaners remove makeup & other oil based products. You always apply it on DRY skin.

Oil cleansing is like the first step in what is called “Double Cleansing”. You’d remove all the makeup and oils from your face, then you’d follow with a gentle wash, which is your foam cleanser step that cleanses the skin itself. So lets go into the products.

  • Laneige – They have 2 cleansers, Fresh Brightening – which you should use if you don’t like heavy feeling oil cleansers and if you’s like an quick and easy makeup remover. This cleanser uses Apricot and Grapefruit cleansing oil to remove dead skin cells for brightening effects, as the name suggest. Also uses Artemisia Vulgaris extract and Teatree extract, which has amino acids & proteins that causes anti-inflammatory, reduces redness, anti-bacterial, and anti-acne.  Then there is Perfect Pore Cleansing Oil – From the title you know this helps with troubled skin. This cleanser should be used if you wear heavy or full coverage makeup. It helps removes blackheads & excess sebum. The virgin coconut oil in this cleanser is used to remove full coverage and water resistant makeup.
  • Hera Purifying Cleansing Oil – This oil is more geared for dull, acne-prone & irritated skin. Its notable ingredients are moringa seed oil which is an anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial. Calendula oil which is an anti-acne & anti-inflammatory.
  • DHC Deep Cleansing Oil – This is actually a very great “dupe” for a cleanser called Labo Gokujun cleansing oil from Japan. It’s less expensive and very similar. This cleanser has pure olive oil & Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate.

More to be continued. I thought that this was a good start as any for a very long in-depth explanations. Like always, hope you have a great day. Live free and stay safe! If you’d like to hear more from me please follow my blog. Any questions, please ask.

The Korean Skincare Regimen

There isn’t a “true” step regimen for Korean skincare. you don’t have to actually do a 10 step plan. You could do a simple 4 or 5 step plan. It really just depends on what your trying  to accomplish with your skin. At first I was doing an 8 step regimen, now I do a 4 or 10 step depending on the weather and how my skin was acting that day.

I’m going to first going to talk about the steps, then for the following week I’ll give you recommendations on what products to use for types of skin, skin concerns, and why to use the products for those problems. As I said before, a 10 step regimen doesn’t mean you actually do all 10 steps everyday.

             STEPS

  1. Oil Cleansers – Always apply to dry skin – The oil cleanser removes makeup & other oil based products i.e. lotion & pollution particles
  2.  Foam Cleansers – Apply to wet skin – It removes impurities i.e. sweat & dirt
  3. Exfoliator – Cleans clogged pores, rids dead skin cells, & brightens skin (Its not recommended for everyday use. For people with sensitive skin, you’d want to use this step once a week. People with tougher skin it’s best to exfoliate around 3x a week.
  4. Toner – Prepares skin so your skin can absorb treatments better
  5. Essence – It’s like a booster or serum, but watery. It’s a added layer of hydration before you apply a serum.
  6. Serum or Booster – This step technically isn’t necessary for everybody. If you don’t have dark marks or pigmentation, then you could skip this step.
  7.  Masks – The type of mask depends on what your skin concern is. Skincare masks have 6 types. Clay, peel-off, warm oil, thermal, cream and natural. Certain masks are not for everyday use. Best to use those types  2x weekly. (I use a different mask everyday for different skin concerns.)
  8. Eye Cream – Locks skin moisture. Always have 2 different creams. A day & night cream.
  9. SPF – Skin Protection

Hope this helped you out. Wednesday I’ll start going in depth step by step with products, ingredients, where to buy and what type to use based on skin types & concerns. Have a great day! Fun K-Beauty Fact Sunday

Great Sunday my beauties! I hope everything is going well in week. Today is my first Fun K-Beauty Fact, every Sunday I will either post a K-Beauty tip or new products that I have tried, good or bad. Always remember, what works for me might not work for you and vise versa. Lets begin with K-Beauty tip.

This tip can be used for people who are just getting started in a beauty regimen and for people who already have one, but are seeing slight improvements or none at all. Have you ever thought that the way you’re washing your face might be the problem.

Problem: You aren’t using the right movements to wash your face. I know, this sounds complete insignificant, but it might be one of your problems. You could very well have the right cleanser for your skin type, but just using the wrong face washing technique. Are you using the palms of your hands to aggressively rub your face up & down movements? That’s not giving your skin a gentle cleanse.

Answer for face: Try to release any pressure in your wrists & use only the tips of your fingers to draw small circles on your face. Make sure you always reverse directions.

Answer for nose: Use ring finger & move in even smaller circles on the sides of your nose.

Answer for neck: Take the upper half of your palm, which means just use your fingers, and move them upward, never pulling your skin down.

Hope these tips are helpful to you. Have a great rest of your Sunday and if you’d like to hear more tips, come here next Sunday. Live free and stay safe! To hear more from me, please follow my blog.

Products for skin concerns….soon!

I’ve been on my skincare journey for almost 4 years now. I love trying skincare products. You can never figure out if they work for you if you never try it out. Yes, it might break you out, but that just lets you know that it wasn’t the right product for you. Just because it wasn’t right for doesn’t mean it will not work out for someone else with the same skin concern as you.

Next week I will be giving you the products I use (there is a lot actually) and products that I would recommend to other people for their skin type. I will tell you why some of these products work, so you can base other products off them and some of the ingredients. I can’t wait to help you all explore the skincare world or just broaden your skincare horizon.

See you next week. Live free and stay safe! If you’d like to hear more from me, please follow my blog! Thank you and have a great weekend.

New Beginnings

Next week I start college, I don’t know if i’m more nervous or excited about the “joys” of starting school again kinda late in the game again. Being a freshman past the age of 21 is a weird process for me. Especially, with me trying to start vlogging/blogging as well.

I’ve already fully moved into my new living space and thank goodness my sister is my roommate. My room wish less bare then it originally did. I’m still working on trying to make it less of a white space and more of a beauty room. Time will tell I guess.

Sine moving in I’ve only seen our diagonal neighbors. I really don’t know anyone here. It’s slightly lonely, but I hope to meet new people in the upcoming weeks, fingers crossed though. The besting thing I’m worried about is my dog actually.

Prince, my Pom, is so jumpy that its unreal. He hates it when I leave at anytime. We left to Target the second day in, and as soon as the front door closed, he started barking and crying. We came back an hour and maybe forty minutes later and he was still braking and crying. That’s bad, right? I have to sneak out of my own place just to leave. LOL. Ugh, but I wouldn’t change him for anything else.

He got me through a lot of traumatic and very painfully experiences and I saved him from a his abusive breeder. I think we are two peas in the pod, lol. Plus he’s super adorable. Well it’s about time to wash my hair. So I hope you all have a great day and I hope to see you soon. If you would like to hear more from me then please follow my blog and I can’t wait to talk more to you all. If you have any questions, then feel free to ask. i don’t mind answering questions! Live free and stay safe everybody.

BewhY The Blind Tour Concert

Good morning my beauties, I am super excited to talk about my last Friday! It was so great! I had such a fun time at the concert. Met and befriended a lot of cool people. Shook his hand! So great! Lol! So here was the schedule:

The moment has come for to begin a very long and awesome concert:

BewhY is in the building guys!

IMG_1712It was a very good concert! He was very kind and had a great personality, even though his English wasn’t that great! He still did his best.

He did a sound check and a Q&A with us! Found out that his been with his GF for about 5 years now. He started to question being a rapper, because he said that his was losing focus on his passion on material things.

He played his whole album, plus his songs from Show Me The Money 5. Like Forever, Day Day, and the group song Who Are You? It was the best!

This was a great Encore song! The concert was very lit! There was never a dull moment! NEVER!

Be safe, and life free! See you all next time! Have any questions or requests please don’t be afraid to question!
