The Korean Skincare Regimen – Moisturizer

Good afternoon my beauties, I’m actually writing this two hours before I have to go to my art class, because my Monday was so hectic, with my extra credit project and panel. So it was a very late night. Then I was looking and I noticed that there was a very important step that wasn’t on my list. I have no idea who I skipped it. At least I caught it before it was to late.

Lets talk about moisturizing since there isn’t a recap, because we never talked about it before.

Moisturizing is important because it locks in all of the products that you’ve put on your face & keeps your skin looking healthy by being hydrated. Now for my oily skin type people there are moisturizers that are lightweight so it doesn’t increase your shininess. There are many types of moisturizers from mists, creams, & oils. Choosing one just depends on your skin type. If you have oily skin you don’t want to end your night regimen on a oil, so try a mist. Dry skin it might work best for you to have a cream. Combo & Normal skin you could use one of the three, just depend on what you feel your face needs for the AM and PM regimen. You also could use two different moisturizers for your regimen, a hydrating cream or mist in the AM and a oil or cream, which could be called a sleeping mask in the PM.

Product time starting with:

Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence – Hydrates & nourishes. (This os actually one I use for through out the day, I live in a city that is very hot our cool days would be anywhere btw 88 to 90 degrees in the.) IMG_1383

Missha Near Skin Simple Therapy Mist Toner – Mild toner, clams & soothes irritated or sensitive skin. This could be used as a toner or a face mist. Works best for Sensitive skin.

Cremorlab Mineral Water Mist – Nourishes & hydrates.

Aprilskin Magic Snow Mist – Brightens, hydrates, & anti-wrinkle.

Missha Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Cream – Lightweight, hydrates, firms, & helps repair acne-prone skin. (Smell is kind of so-so, which means it’s strong smelling, it works but I couldn’t get passed the smell so I stopped using it.)

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Emulsion – Hydrates & firms.

Corsx Oil-Free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion – Clams, hydrates, & repairs acne-prone skin. This is great for Sensitive & Acne-prone skin.

Missha Super Aqua Ultra Water-Full Clear Cream – Hydrates & controls sebum. (This is what I currently use now. This is a cream but its more like a gel. It makes my skin so soft.)

Aromatica Rose Absolute Vital Cream – Hydrates, brightens, & anti-aging

Re:p Nutrinature Ultra Moist Gel Oil – lightweight, clams, hydrates, & aging.

I know that last one was a short list, but that’s because that’s the only Korean skincare product thats worked for my skin. Right now the face oil I use is from an Canadian company called Deciem, but you all might know them as The Ordinary.

That’s it for today. Thursday is our last step, which is SPF. I hope you have a great day and rest of the week. Try one of the products out and tell me what you think about it. If you enjoyed this, please like and follow me to hear more. Live free, stay safe! See you next time. If you have any questions, comments, or request don’t hesitate to write.

Good afternoon my beauties! I happy Thursday, just one more day until the weekend. Yay! I’m super excited because my new vanity mirror arrived on Monday and I’ve been playing around with it. Can’t wait to show you all it, I think I’ll post some pictures of it on Sunday after Fun K-Beauty Fact Sunday. Stay tuned! So I decided to combine the steps 5 & 6 in one post.

Serums are used if your having problems with dark spots or wanting to target a skin concern then you’d use the serum step in your regimen. Lets get into the products.

Oily/Combination Skin

Coming in at $120, this products line is one of the best lines in Korea. All their products are on the higher end of the skincare world, but you’re paying for a product that works. So why not go big on something that on the scale of 10, 9 people says it works very well for them. (Sometimes you should just take a risk with some products, this is one of them)

Mizon Peptide 500 – Anti-aging, firms, hydrates, & smoothes.

Well that’s it for steps 5 & 6. Next Tuesday will be my absolute favourite…..MASKS! I love masks! There are so many types of masks that sometimes it gets overwhelming, then I think, “Nope, mask…everyday.” I really this helped you all out with choosing a product for your regimen. There is SO many out there that sometimes it’s hard to choose which ones, but I think it’s all about routing and trying new products every once in awhile.

So if you’d like to hear more from me please follow or tune in Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Sundays. Loved this post, then please like it. If you have any questions or requesting, please ask. I’d love answering them. Be safe, live free! Have a great day, and see you all next time my beauties!

The Korean Skincare Regimen – Exfoliators

Afternoon my beauties! It’s Thursday, which means one more day of classes. Downside is I have an art project to finish, two quizzes due on Friday, and an draft essay to work on. But I love blogging especially about skincare. Once I finish this regimen I will go into other skincare products that I’ve used international & national products. I’ve been planning this for three years. So I’ve tried a lot of products. Some worked, but had after effects. I’m getting ahead of myself! So lets get into the third step of our regimen.

RECAP: Exfoliators clean clogged pores, gets rid of dead skin cells & brightens skins. As I said before it’s not recommended for everyday use. People with Sensitive skin should only use once a week. People with tougher skin should use at least three times a week.

Exfoliators help dry skin, smoothes rough or uneven textured skin, & firms skin. Some exfoliators recommend you to use them after a toner for best results. That’s why these two steps can be interchangeable. If I’m feeling like my skin is in need of an boost after a rough week. I use a toner before exfoliating. Otherwise I exfoliate then tone.

You also want to remember that you aren’t going to be using this step everyday. What I suggest doing is trying one way for an month, then changing the step the next month to see what best helps your skin. The reason why you would try any skincare regimen or product is best said by a dermatologist. Dr. Kenneth Beer , is an Palm Beach, FL doctor who has an Board certification in dermatology and dermatopathology, which is the microscopic study of the skin. He’s one of the handful of doctors to have both certifications.  Dr. Beer states that, The complete benefit of skin creams won’t be visible until after a full cycle of skin-cell turnover to take place, at least a month.” Which means you probably won’t see any instant changes the first couple of rest as your skin gets used to the regimen or product. There are always some cases where you could see results the next day or that week. It just depends on your skin.

Lets get into products!

Dry/Normal or Sensitive Skin

Apple Smoothie Peeling Gel: Brightens skin, tightens pores, minimizes acne, & smoothes textured skin. This product could be used by all skin types.

Seaweed Jelly Scrub: Moisturizes skin, minimizes pores, acne breakouts, & redness. Ideal for Sensitive or Acne prone skin.

Be The Skin Non – Stimulus Face Polisher: Smoothes & nourishes skin. This is ideal for sensitive skin, but can also be used for dry skin.

My Skin Mentor Dr. G Brightening Peeling Gel: Brightens, smoothes, hydrates, & soothes irritated skin. Ideal for sensitive skin.

Combination Skin

Mizon Honey Black Sugar Scrub: Anti-black/whiteheads, tightens pores, brightens hyper-pigmentation, & smoothes textured skin.

Morihata Binchotan Facial Puff: Brightens skin, cleans clogged pores, & anti-blackheads. Could be used for sensitive skin.

RE:P Bio Fresh Mask With Real Nutrition Herb:  Brightens, firms, smoothes, hydrates & soothes irritated skin.

Neogen Bio – Peel Gauze Peeling Lemon: Cleans clogged pores, brightens & smoothes textured skin.

Oily/Acne Prone Skin

My Skin Mentor Dr. G Crystal Deep Peeling: Smoothes, brightens & moisturizes skin.

Tony Moly Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm: Anti-blackheads, cleans clogged pores, moisturizes, & smoothes skin.

Skinfood Rice Brightening Scrub Foam: Cleans clogged pores, brightens, & smoothes skin.

Hope this helped you in the realm of exfoliators. Mask, as we talk about then later on, could be used as an exfoliator. The reason I didn’t put any mask in here, is because I want to specifically use them in the mask portion of this regimen. Especially since you could use both an exfoliator and a mask, as one or two separate steps.

As I always say, be safe and live free! If you want hear more from me. Please follow my blog. Next Tuesday is Toners. If you have any questions or request please ask. See you all hopefully for, Fun K-Beauty Fact Sunday.
